2027 AFCON Qualifiers: Madagascar Star Raveloson tags Super Eagles 'Ordinary'

Madagascar midfielder Rayan Raveloson says facing Nigeria's Super Eagles in the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers is not considered daunting.

Raveloson who has earned 48 caps for Madagascar dismissed any pressure playing against Nigeria this Friday as they road to reach next year's tournament gets underway this week across the Continent.

Nigeria and Madagascar are housed in Group L alongside Tanzania and Guinea Bissau, but for the Barea they are hoping to make their second ever appearance at the AFCON.

The Island Nation ranked 104 in the latest FIFA Rankings are already in Uyo; arriving in two batches, but in high spirits ahead of the match.

In a chat with Brila.net, Raveloson fancied his side's chances against Nigeria.

'It's a football match, they are humans like us we have no reason to be scared,' he said.

Meanwhile, the Midfielder who plays for Turkish Super Lig side Amed SK praised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Albeit Osimhen has been ruled out of Nigeria's international duties this September, the forward still earned some praise from Raveloson.

Both teams will meet for only the fourth times in competitive games and their next installment is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The teams will hold their first training sessions today, although there has been torrential rain fall all day in Uyo.
