Gift Orban’s situation in the Jupiler Pro League is not getting easier as the striker’s market value appeared to have dipped.

Orban is currently undergoing a poor run of form and goal drought with his club KAA Gent.

He was the most valuable asset in Belgium last season is now behind players like Arthur Vermeeren and Antonio Nusa.

The youngster was valued at around €30m last summer following his incredible run of form for Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s side.

Gift Orban has struggled to put the disappointment of his inability to secure a transfer behind him and has affected his form drastically.

He was linked with a host of top clubs in Europe, including Eintracht Frankfurt, Milan, Tottenham and Lille.

No deal however materialized as suitors pulled out following Gent’s excessive demand.

The 20-year-old is under contract until June 30, 2027 and it will be interesting to see how the club manage the situation.
