Bayern Munich stormed to the top of the Bundesliga table with a ruthless 6-1 demolition of RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, powered by a sensational hat-trick from Luis Diaz and key contributions from Harry Kane and Michael Olise.
Vincent Kompany’s side responded emphatically after recent draws, racing into a 3-0 half-time lead and never looking back.
Diaz opened the scoring in the 12th minute, latching onto Joshua Kimmich’s defence-splitting pass before finishing clinically.

Aleksandar Pavlovic doubled the advantage in the 26th minute after Diaz turned provider, and Olise made it three just eight minutes later with a cool finish from 18 yards following Kane’s clever reverse pass.
The second half brought more of the same.
Diaz curled home his second shortly after the restart, Kane tapped in from Nathaniel Brown’s cut-back to mark his 100th Bundesliga appearance, and the Colombian completed his treble in the 69th minute with a superb finish into the far corner. Andrija Maksimovic grabbed a late consolation for Leipzig in stoppage time.
The result lifted Bayern to 14 points from six matches (4 wins, 2 draws, 0 defeats). They have scored a league-high 22 goals while conceding just five, giving them the best goal difference in the division and a temporary hold on first place ahead of Borussia Dortmund (also on 14 points) and Freiburg.
Harry Kane continues to dictate games. The England captain now has four Bundesliga goals and five assists this season.
His goal against Leipzig took his combined tally for club and country to 11 already, while his two assists underlined his all-round influence. Kane’s clinical finishing and vision remain central to Bayern’s attacking fluency.
Michael Olise is in scintillating form. The French winger scored his fifth league goal of the campaign and added an assist, taking his goal contributions to seven in six Bundesliga appearances.

His movement, creativity and finishing have made him one of the division’s standout performers early in the 2026/27 season.
Luis Diaz stole the headlines with a clinical hat-trick and an assist. The Colombian now has four Bundesliga goals and one assist this term after a quieter start.
His explosive left-wing play and clinical edge against Leipzig signalled a major return to peak form at the perfect moment.
Bayern’s attacking trio of Kane, Olise and Diaz delivered a combined five goals and four assists in this match alone.
Their collective output has driven the champions’ early-season dominance and set a high bar as they prepare for a Champions League showdown with Arsenal in midweek.
This emphatic victory against a Leipzig side that had been competitive earlier in the campaign reaffirmed Bayern’s credentials as title favourites.
With an unbeaten record, prolific scoring and star performers firing on all cylinders, Kompany’s men look ready to pull clear at the summit.
