Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie expressed the strong desire of the Super Falcons to participate in the upcoming Olympics later this year.
The Nigeria Women’s football team is gearing up for a crucial doubleheader against the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon, with the first leg scheduled for this Saturday.
Highlighting the team’s determination, Nnadozie emphasized the significance of qualifying for the Olympics, as the Super Falcons last participated in the prestigious event back in 2008.
Despite the gap, the goalkeeper is optimistic about their chances and believes that the team has what it takes to secure a spot in this year’s Olympic Games.
“I know it’s been long that will qualify for the Olympics. This is a new phase, so we have to focus.
“What happened in the past stays there. The girls are ready and we know what’s at stake.
“Everyone want us to qualify, we understand that too. But I can say we are in high spirit, and the coach has confidence in us.” She said at the press conference.
