Frank Onyeka delivered an impressive performance, providing a crucial assist as Coventry City defeated Wrexham 3–1 in their final home match of the EFL Championship season.
Although Coventry had already secured the league title in their previous match, and Sunday served as the trophy presentation.
The team marked the occasion in style with a convincing win in front of their home fans.
Onyeka capped off a dominant individual display by assisting Ephron Mason-Clark’s stoppage-time goal.
Driving forward with intent, Onyeka spotted Mason-Clark unmarked in the box and delivered a perfectly weighted through ball, which the forward emphatically converted to seal the 3–1 victory.

Earlier goals from Haji Wright Thomas-Asante and Victor Torp had already put Coventry in control.
Beyond the assist, Onyeka’s all-round performance stood out. He completed 45 passes with an accuracy of 92%, created multiple chances, and maintained a 100% dribble success rate.
Defensively, he contributed three tackles, one block, one interception, and three ball recoveries, while also winning nine duels highlighting his influence across the pitch.
While it was a day of celebration for Coventry and Onyeka, the mood was quite different for fellow Nigerian Arthur Okonkwo and Wrexham.
Manager Phil Parkinson opted to leave Okonkwo on the bench, continuing with Danny Ward, who had kept clean sheets in his previous two matches.
Parkinson’s decision was influenced by recent defensive struggles, with Okonkwo conceding seven goals in his last two appearances before being dropped.

Wrexham’s form has dipped at a critical stage of the season, suffering back-to-back defeats that have complicated their playoff hopes.
They currently occupy the final playoff spot with 70 points, but face mounting pressure from Hull City and Derby County, who trail closely with 70 and 69 points respectively.
Attention now turns to the final day of the season, where Wrexham will face Middlesbrough.
It remains uncertain whether Parkinson will recall Okonkwo or stick with Ward as they fight to secure their playoff position.
