Super Eagles CB, Kenneth Omeruo has admitted that the Round of 16 opponent, Cameroon, will be a tough nut to crack.
Nigeria will clash with the five-time champions in the Africa Cup of Nations knockout game, in a repeat of their meeting in 2019.
Prior to that victory, Nigeria also defeated Cameroon 2-1 in the quarter-final at the 2004 edition, hosted by Egypt.
“Cameroon is a familiar AFCON opponent for us. We have played against them seven times before in theAFCON,” Omeruo told NFF TV.
“We are focused on our preparation. We believe in the coach to provide us with the right tactics to beat them.
“We are confident; after the last game, we resolved that we are ready to face any opponent. We just have to stick to our game plan and work hard on the pitch.”
The match is scheduled to hold at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Saturday.
