Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has described the atmosphere at Galatasaray as unique, saying the level of passion and support from the club’s fans stands out.
Osimhen said while he enjoyed strong fan support in Naples, the culture in Turkey takes football passion to another level.
“Galatasaray is definitely different,” Osimhen offered. “Truly completely different. I experienced this in Napoli too; the fans there were amazing.
“Napoli fans were also incredibly passionate in a way similar to Galatasaray fans.”

He further explained that Turkish football culture is deeply rooted in loyalty.
“But when I came here, I saw that it’s on an entirely different level. The way they live football, the way they support their club—it’s really different.
“In Turkey, it’s like a tradition; fans are loyal to their club to the very end. You rarely see them supporting other clubs. They live for their team.”
Osimhen added that Galatasaray supporters extend their passion beyond matchdays, showing support even in personal spaces and away games.
“At Galatasaray, the fans are always by your side. They support you even in away games.
“In your private life, even when you’re spending time with your family, they spot you and come over, showing their love and respect for you.
“They appreciate you fighting for them, for the crest, and they want you to take the club further.”
He concluded by praising the club’s supporters, describing them as the best he has experienced in his career.
“That’s why, looking at my career, I can confidently say this: Galatasaray fans are truly the best in the world.”
