Olisa Ndah leads Orlando Pirates Into Final

Super Eagles defender and Orlando Pirates captain, Olisa Ndah, delivered a commanding performance to lead his team to the final of the Cup.

Ndah, alongside his central defensive partner Thabiso Sesane, formed a formidable ‘Wall of Orlando,’ ensuring a clean sheet in their 2-0 home victory over Cape Town City FC.

The win secured a 3-1 aggregate triumph after the first leg in Cape Town ended in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Featuring for the full 90 minutes, Ndah’s leadership and solid defensive display were instrumental in the Pirates’ progression to the final.

Wearing the captain’s armband, Ndah etched his name into the club’s history books as only the third Nigerian to captain the prestigious South African side, following in the footsteps of Sam Pam and Wilson Okpara.

The Pirates, who have claimed the MTN 8 title three times in the last four years, looked comfortable throughout the match and on there to win another.

Return to the Super Eagles

Ndah’s impressive form has earned him a return to the Super Eagles squad for next month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The 23-man list released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) marks a well-deserved comeback for Ndah, who had been absent from the national team setup for an extended period.

Ndah made his Super Eagles debut in 2021 under coach Gernot Rohr and has since featured in only two games.
