Nasarawa United have been relegated from the NPFL following the 1-0 defeat to Kwara United on Sunday.

The Solid Miners lost to their fellow relegation rivals in a game where both teams needed a win.

It looked like a game that could end in a draw on paper and after Eighty minutes of action at the Akure Stadium.

However, in the 82nd minute Yahaya Ibrahim broke the deadlock to condemn Nasarawa United to the second tier of Nigerian football for next season.

The hosts protected their lone goal and sealed the three points which guaranteed their stay in the topflight next season.
