Peseiro to parade NPFL Players for Super Eagles Friendly in San Jose

Super Eagles Coach Jose Peseiro will parade home based players for the upcoming friendly against Costa Rica.

According to the reports, the foreign based players won’t be available for the clash, due to hefty schedule and the coach has opted to call on the local based players.

The friendly is slated for next week in San Jose, and it’s part of the hosts’ preparation for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The home based players have commenced preparations for the game and at least 15 players are in camp, training under the watchful eyes of Salisu Yusuf.

The players who trained at the Lekan Salami stadium are Mustapha Jibril (Abia Warriors), Alex Jerry (Lobi Stars), Garba Suleiman (Kebbi United), Samuel Kalu (Enyimba).

Afeez Nosir (Kwara United), Dominion Ohaka and Nathaniel Nwosu from Water FC, Paul Samson (Kwara United), Edidiong Ezekiel and Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars), Sunday Faleye (Unattached FC), Evans Ogbonda (Akwa United).

The players and their officials are expected to depart for San Jose for the game on Thursday.

The game is the first meeting between both sides at the senior level.
