Nigeria’s Victor Boniface was the hero for Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League on Thursday.
The forward netted a beautiful goal to guide his team to a 3-2 victory over Swedish Allsvenskan giants Malmo FF.
Union Saint-Gilloise had to come from behind twice in the game to stun Malmo FF, with Boniface grabbing the all important winner in spectacular fashion.
Joseph Ceesay put Malmo in front six minutes into the game, but the lead lasted for just five minutes as Christian Burgess restored parity for Saint-Gilloise.
Isaac Kiese Thelin scored Malmo’s second before the hour mark, Saint-Gilloise, again responded with the equalizer 12 minutes, through Teddy Teuma.
Boniface then completed the turn around three minutes later with a well taken goal from the box.
Boniface was substituted in the 80th minute, he completed two (2) dribbles, attempted two shots, and made four (4) recoveries.
The young forward also assisted the winner in the previous game against Union Berlin.
