Midfielder Mikel Agu says he’s happy with his move to the Japanese league and can’t wait to get started.
Agu was criticized for joining J-League side Shonan Bellmare, as many believes he still has a lot to offer in Europe.
However in a short video posted on the club’s official Twitter handle, the player expressed his delight to start a new journey, adding that he made a good decision to join the team.
“Hello supporters, my name is Mikel Agu. I am happy to be here in Shonan Bellmare, I love it and I am hoping very soon to see you guys at the Stadium.
“I am here to give my best and I hope that at the end of the season we are going to be happy. Halleh!.”
Agu signed for the team as a free agent in the last transfer window, joining on a two-year contract.
The Super Eagles midfielder had stints at FC Porto, Club Brugge, Vitoria Setubal, Bursaspor, Vitoria Guimaraes and Fuenlabrada.
