Akwa United and CHAN Eagles goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka has arrived in Sudan ahead of finalizing his medical with Al-Hilal.
Adewale will now undergo his medical tests on Wednesday night before the relevant documents are signed between all parties.
This was confirmed by a source close to the home-based Eagles goalkeeper, who’s also a goalkeeper in a chat with Brila’s Mohammed Saliu.
“Adewale Adeyinka is in Sudan as expected since yesterday and he’s now currently undergoing medical tests with Al-Hilal.
“I tell you we just spoke now, I and Adewale, he is undergoing a medical for the club very soon they will unveil him,” the source told brila.net.
“I was the goalkeeper they (Al-Hilal) approached initially but their first offer was rejected by my club.”
“The fee was too little,” He said.
Adewale holds the record for most consecutive clean sheets in the Nigeria Professional Football League, after going 16 matches without conceding a goal in the 2020-21 season.
