22-year-old Belgian-born Striker, Cyriel Dessers is weighing up his chances of representing Nigeria after he admits, breaking into the Belgian national team may be out of his hands.
Dessers, who has not featured for any of the Belgian national teams despite his invitation to the U21s, considers the chance of playing for Nigeria as a nice proposition.
He recently joined Eredivisie side, FC Utrecht from NAC Breda where he scored 29 goals in the regular season and play-offs.
The Striker told Belgian online site voetbal24.be that,”I’m concentrating on Utrecht now, but if something happens with Nigeria, that would be nice.
“I have to be realistic. Competition with Belgium is very big with Lukaku, Batshuayi, Origi, Benteke and now Dimata. They are all Still young.
“In Nigeria there are also top players, but maybe there I will be given a shot,” Dessers opined.
