Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi scored his second Bundesliga goal for Union Berlin in their 3-1 defeat at Hertha Berlin on Friday.
The Dream Team VII put his team ahead in the 20th minute with a good strike in his first Berlin Derby since joining the team.
Union Berlin was reduced to 10 men after Robert Andrich was issued a straight red card by the referee and that was Awoniyi’s team lost the match from winning position.
Hertha Berlin restored parity just six minutes into the second half, thanks to a goal from Peter Pekarik.
Former AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek later scored a brace within three minutes sealed the win for Hertha Berlin.
Awoniyi played all the entire minutes and the goal was his second in eight appearances for the club.
