Turkish league leaders Trabzonspor has parted ways former Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge.
The 30-year-old signed for the Turkish Super lig side shortly after he was released from Liverpool last summer.
Sturridge who scored seven goals for the Club arrived the club last summer alongside former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, with both former Chelsea star forming good understanding on and off the pitch.
“The professional footballer contract signed between our company and our professional footballer Daniel Andre Sturridge, dated 21.08.2019 and ending 31.05.2021 has been mutually terminated,” a Trabzonspor statement read.
“In accordance with the termination agreement, the football player gave up all his forward-looking rights and receivables.” The club said in a statement.
Sturridge also struggled for game time, no thanks to injury and lost of form.
