Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored and then suffered an unknown injury in Lille’s 3-0 win over AS Monaco 3-0 in the round of 16 of the French League Cup on Tuesday night.
It was going to be a perfect night for the Nigerian striker until he sustained the injury four minutes after celebrating his 12th goal of the season for the Christopher Galtier’ men.
Osimhen was replaced by Loic Remy and the French striker went on to grab a brace to send Lille into the quarter-final.
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s compatriot Henry Onyekuru was missing in action for the home side.
Onyekuru has endured a difficult spell since joining the Club last summer and a January is reportedly on the card for the forward.
