Ferroviario Maputo reclaimed the FIBA Africa Women’s Champions Cup on Saturday in a keenly contested gamed against last season’s finalist and five times winners Inter Clube.
The Mozambican side snatched a one point victory;90-91, at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Hall and Nigeria’s Sarah Ogoke dropped a personal championship equalling 22 points on the night.
Saturday’s final in Cairo was a repeat of the dramatic final in Maputo last year, when as host team Ferroviario Maputo snatched a three points victory; 59-56, over the Angolan side.
It was a clean sweep for Carlos Aik’s team as they went 6-0 on their way to securing only a second title.
