Alex Iwobi was second half substitute for Everton as the Toffees picked another win on the road, defeating Southampton 2-1 in a Premier League game at Saint Mary’s on Saturday.
Iwobi was introduced in the 74th minute with the scoreline tied 1-1, following goals from Tom Davies (4′) and the leveler from Danny Ings (50′).
A double substitution by Everton Boss Marco Silva saw the Nigerian and Dominic Calvert-Lewin enter the fray.
Inside a minute of the substitutions, the visitors regained their lead and this time it was through Richarlison.
The Nigerian would have his say though; a blocked shot and another effort beaten away by the goalkeeper denied the winger a goal on the night.
