Nigeria’s Eagles B side led for just 6 minutes as they crumbled 4-1 in the first-leg of the 2020 African Nations Championship qualifiers away to Togo on Sunday.
The Eagles took the lead through Ibrahim Sunusi in the opening 10 minutes of the encounter, but the hosts didn’t take long to level, scoring in the 16th and so ended the first 45 minutes.
In the second-half the Sparrow hawks scored three goals in 25 minutes, including a penalty in the 773rd minute, to make it a no contest.
Next month, the Eagles will host the second-leg tie, but must score three unreplied goals or go one more than Togo did at Stade de Kégué in Lomé.
