Leicester City’s starting XI to take on Sheffield United on Saturday saw key Super Eagles midfielder Wilfried Ndidi surprisingly absent, with a news of hamstring injury ruling him out.
The Foxes had been held to stalemates in their first two outings of the campaign, versus Wolves and Chelsea respectively.
”He tweaked his hamstring just slightly against Chelsea, and he just felt it,” Rodgers told reporters after Saturday’s afternoon’s game at Bramall Lane.
”He had a scan on it and it’s just a minor strain, but hopefully he will rejoin the team training in mid-week and then be ready for next Saturday.”
After escaping the focus of Chelsea’s back-line in London, the Nigerian midfielder slammed a superb header beyond the helpless Kepa, to ensure Leicester maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
The player will be ready for a return after the international break provided he doesn’t suffer a setback.
