‘Feels great to be part of bronze-winning Eagles squad’, says Osimhen

Super Eagles youthful striker, Victor Oshimen has revealed that he remains overwhelmed to be part of the Eagles after they claimed the bronze medal at the expense of Tunisia.

Oshimen, who came on for injured striker and Eagles top striker, Odion Ighalo, played all 45 minutes in the second half and made his presence felt.

Speaking with brila.net, Oshimen also added that he will keep working hard for both the national team and at club level, while also being appreciative of the advice he got from the older players in the camp of the Eagles.

“I feel great and overwhelmed, it’s an important moment for me and my family. To end the tournament with a medal is a great one for me”.

“I just want to ensure I build on this momentum for my club side and the national team”.

“If someone had told me that four years after winning gold at U17 level, I would play for the Eagles, I wouldn’t have believed it”.

“I think hard work is paying off and I thank the coach for believing in me and making me part of the team. Am really grateful, especially with the encouragement from the senior players, am so excited and grateful to God”.
