Conor McGregor has revealed on Twitter that he suffered from a broken foot before his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018, but he did not let that broken foothold him back.
He said “I broke my foot three weeks out from the bout.”
McGregor who returned to the octagon after a 693-day absence faced Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, but tapped out in the fourth round bout in Las Vegas.
Referencing the post-bout brawl that followed and led to both fighters been suspended he said he was happy with the lessons learned “I still marched forward, however, and also landed the final blows of the night.
I am happy with how the contest went and the lessons learned.”
