 In Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End – Lord Culter Beckett certainly made the phrase “It’s just good business” famous, but after Danny Welbeck’s thunderous header to double Arsenal’s lead and the celebrations that followed in their 2-0 win against Manchester United, well that’s just good business.
Like Beckett (Hacking down Pirates), Welbeck had a certain culture ingrained in him, for the latter it was the Manchester United winning mentality.
Welbeck was shipped off to Arsenal from Old Trafford in 2014 by then Manager, Louis Van Gaal.
The 26-year-old spent 13 cumulative years – from his youth team days – at Manchester United, but the moment he left, it was like he vowed to haunt them forever.
Sunday’s 57th minute strike was the player’s second goal in twelve appearances this season for Arsenal and it was a significant one on many levels.
Firstly, it secured a win for the Gunners as they continue their push for a finish in the top four.
Secondly, the win seriously dented Man United‘s top four chances.

Finally, it snapped Man United‘s 25-unbeaten run in the league.
It was the same Welbeck who brought an end to United‘s FA Cup run in 2015 after his 61st minute goal knocked them out in the quarter-final.
When it’s important he turns up against the Red Devils… maybe it’s also because he dined with them before.
Like the England International said after the game on Sunday per Sky Sports, ‘I grew up there (United) so it’s a special place in my life but once we get on that pitch it’s just business at the end of the day.’
