If this Michael Johnson Tweet doesn’t Inspire You Nothing Else Will

One of the Greatest Athletes ever seen and a living Legend, Michael Johnson suffered a stroke last month and lost partial mobility. The news hit the World and there was an out pour of support for the 51-year-old.

A month later the American shared a powerful message that should motivate and inspire anybody who ever felt they couldn’t rise above any adversity.

Michael Johnson is the only male athlete in history to win both the 200 metres and 400 metres events at the same Olympics, a feat he accomplished at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

He’s also the only man to successfully defend his Olympic title in the 400 metres, at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Aside from his Olympic success Johnson accumulated eight gold medals at World Championships; tied with Carl Lewis for the second most gold medals won by a runner (second only to Usain Bolt).

On Friday, Johnson tweeted an update on his recovery, despite the initial heart-wrenching prognosis.

A month ago today I suffered a stroke. I could not walk. Doctors said only time will tell if I will recover or to what degree. Its been grueling work but made a full recovery, re-learned how to walk and today doing agility drills! Thanks for the messages of encouragement! 🙏🏾
