Eagles Captain Mikel and Vice-Captain Onazi are in good terms – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation has rubbished reports trending in the social media that Super Eagles duo of Mikel Obi and Ogenyi Onazi are having tensed relationship with each other in their Austria camp.

The social media reports stated that Onazi refused to accept orders from Mikel at their training base ahead of next week commencement of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where Nigeria is expected to play Croatia on June 16.

The NFF revealed a footage via their Twitter handle that shows an excited Ogenyi Onazi and John Mikel Obi together, while Elderson Echiejile joined the duo to kit up after a few minutes.

The footage on the NFF handle is enough to show that the Super Eagles camp remains peaceful and appealed to rumors monger to stop circulating fake news.

“Avoid fake news. Earlier in training, Captain Mikel and Vice Captain Onazi #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” reads the tweet on the NFF handle.
