Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Greg Etafia has confessed that the lads will definitely miss the leadership of Captain John Mikel Obi when they take on Poland tomorrow.
In a Telephone chat with brila.net, Etafia said even though it’s a friendly encounter, yet Mikel will be greatly missed.
“The Poland match is a friendly game, but the team will still miss Mikel because of his creativity and Leadership qualities,” Etafia told brila.net
The former South Africa based goalkeeper, however, acknowledged that the absence of Obi Mikel is an opportunity for some other guys in the team to step up and show Nigerians what they can really do.
“Mikel’s absence is though a big chance for the other guys in the team to showcase their abilities, and it is also a chance for the technical crew to come up with a back up for the former Chelsea Midfielder,” he added.
The Tianjin Teda of China midfielder, John Obi Mikel is sitting out tomorrow’s friendly against Poland due to work permit issues in China.
Nigeria will be playing against fellow World Cup-bound Polish National team in an international friendly at the 43,000 Capacity Municipal Stadium tomorrow in Wroclaw, Poland.
