Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has given his first charge to Francis Uzoho, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and co ahead of the friendly against Poland – warning against the threat of Striker, Robert Lewandowski.
Rohr identified Poland captain, Lewandowski as a major threat when the teams clash on March 23rd and is hoping the in-form forward is kept quite on the day.
In a chat with brila.net, the gaffer said, “These matches are not about the results. These matches are made to work on different opportunities to see new players; we’ve invited new striker, a new midfielder, we’ll give more competition to our young goalkeeper.
“It’s very important to also find again the spirit of the team, the unity and our teamwork.
“Of course, everybody knows Lewandowski, he’s one of the best goalscorers in the world and I hope he will not score three goals against us.”
The 29-year-old Bayern Munich striker has scored 11 goals in his last 10 matches for the club in all competitions.
