Victor Moses was on target for his English Premier League side Chelsea on Monday night as they condemned struggling West Bromwich Albion to a 3-0 defeat at the Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old was making his 209th Premier League appearance for the Blues and former Wigan Atletic winger helped the London club to put behind them the devastating struggles of the past weeks.
The star who was on for the entire 90 minutes made it his second goal of the season in 20 league games for the English top flight champions.
The win took Chelsea who was previously fighting for the second spot to fourth on the English Premier League table after the previous week in which they were handed a 3-0 home and 4-1 away defeat to Bournemouth and Watford respectively.
Antonio Conte’ side went into the game on the back of disastrous outings after winning just three of their last ten games in all competitions, but Moses’ and Eden hazard’s brace rescued the night for his men.
Hazard handed Chelsea the lead in the 25th minute after a fine combination with January arrival from Arsenal Olivier Giroud.
Four minutes past the hour mark, Chelsea doubled their lead through Moses after receiving a deflected ball from Cesc Fabregas’s pass all in as West Brom goalkeeper Ben Forster watched on helplessly.
The visitors could not find any rhythm as hazard put the icing on the cake eight minutes after Moses recorded his second goal.
