The 28-year-old, meanwhile, had a lot of transfer links with a move away from the Schwarzgelben during the summer window.

Despite that, though, a transfer never saw the light of day as the prolific point-man decided to stay at Dortmund.

Since the beginning of the 2017/18 season, though, Aubameyang has suffered a number of disciplinary issues at the Bundesliga giants.

Reports have emerged that Dortmund is now reportedly looking to part ways with the Gabonese attacking ace come January 2018.

According to a valid report emanating from The Express, Liverpool is eager to reunite Aubameyang with the incumbent boss, Jurgen Klopp.

And the Premier League giants now have a very strong belief that Aubameyang can further fortify the Reds front line.

The same report has, however, also made a suggestion that Chelsea has decided to join the race for the striker.
