Nigeria’s Suliat Abideen delivered a brilliant performance on Sunday, scoring twice as reigning Turkish Women’s Super League champions Fomget GSK dismantled Unye Kadin 8–0 in a one-sided encounter.
Fomget wasted no time asserting their superiority, racing into a commanding lead with a five-goal first half.
Basak Icinozbebek opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before Arzu Karabulut doubled the advantage in the 20th minute.
Ukrainian forward, Olha Ovdiychuk made it 3–0 in the 29th minute, and just two minutes later, Nigerian forward Suliat netted her first of the match to stretch the lead further.
Karabulut added her second of the day in the 36th minute, sending the champions into the break with a resounding 5–0 lead.
Abideen Suliat Sealed the Win for Fomget
The second half followed the same pattern, with Fomget maintaining complete control and piling on more goals.
Icinozbebek completed her brace in the 63rd minute, while Ovdiychuk mirrored the feat with her second goal in the 72nd minute.
Suliat put the finishing touch on a ruthless display, firing home in the 81st minute to secure her brace and seal a dominant 8–0 victory.
Fomget Climb to Third Place
The emphatic win pushes Fomget GSK to third place on the league table with 22 points from nine matches.
They now trail joint leaders Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe by five points as the title race intensifies.
