Two Nigerian stars took center stage in the Turkish Women’s Super League (WSL) on Sunday, as Glory Ogbonna and Taiwo Lawal found the net for their respective sides in Besiktas’ 2-1 victory over Unye Kadin.

The match saw Kome Fadimatou open the scoring for Besiktas in the 11th minute before Lawal equalized for Unye Kadin in the 31st minute, registering her fourth league goal of the season.
However, just when it seemed the game would end in a stalemate, Ogbonna delivered a last-gasp winner in the 90th minute, securing all three points for third-placed Besiktas.
The goal marked her first of the season for the Istanbul-based club.
