Victor Osimhen continued his prolific run in the Europa League, but Galatasaray squandered a two-goal advantage to settle for a dramatic 3-3 draw against Dynamo Kiev at RAMS Park on Tuesday night.
The Turkish giants took an early lead just six minutes in, courtesy of former Tottenham defender Davinson Sánchez, who converted a smart pass from Dries Mertens.
Galatasaray doubled their advantage in the 21st minute when Abdulkerim Bardakci headed home to put the hosts firmly in control.
However, Dynamo Kiev fought back, with Vladyslav Vanat pulling one back for the visitors just before halftime, setting up a tense second half.
Osimhen restored Galatasaray’s two-goal cushion in the 53rd minute, coolly converting a penalty to notch his fourth goal in five Europa League appearances this season.
But Dynamo Kiev refused to back down. Veteran forward Andrii Yarmolenko turned the tide, scoring twice to level the game and leave Galatasaray stunned.
Despite the frustrating result, Galatasaray remain in contention for a spot in the next round.
They currently sit fifth in the group with 13 points from seven games, keeping their hopes alive as the competition progresses.
