I Won Both Fights – Fury Claims Judges Were Wrong in Usyk Loss:

Tyson Fury has strongly disagreed with the judges’ decision to award Oleksandr Usyk a unanimous victory in their highly anticipated heavyweight clash on Saturday night, stating he believed he should have won the fight.

Fury suffered his second defeat of his career, both of which have come against Usyk.

The 36-year-old had a much-improved performance in the rematch following his split decision loss to Usyk in May, however, Fury was unable to capture the WBA (Super), WBO, and WBC titles.

“I was quite confident. I thought I won that fight again… I thought I’ve won both fights, but then again, I’ve gone home with two losses on my record now, so there’s not much I can do about it,” Fury told reporters at the post-fight news conference.

“I can just fight my heart out and do the best I can, but again, I’ll always believe until a day I die, I won that fight.”

Despite Fury’s belief, Usyk, who gave up significant height, weight, and reach advantages, was the more dominant fighter for much of the bout and managed to secure another decision win.

Fury, however, insisted he had been the aggressor throughout the night.

“It is what it is. I’m not going to cry over spilled milk, it’s happened now. I know boxing, I’ve been in it all my life. You can’t change no decisions, but I’ll just always feel a little bit hard done-by. Not a little bit, actually — a lot,” Fury said.

After the defeat, Fury dismissed speculation about his future, instead choosing to focus on recovering from the fight.

“I’m going to go home and have a good Christmas, I’ve been away 12 weeks, I put a lot of work in for this fight, I’m going to go home now and enjoy it,” he added.

Fury’s frustration is clear, but the heavyweight division remains as competitive as ever, with Usyk continuing to solidify his place as one of boxing’s top stars.
