Former Super Falcons assistant coach, Mansur Abdullahi addresses critics who downplayed Nigeria’s victory Algeria as Convenient.

Abdullahi defended the players and the Nigerian Football Federation’s efforts.

In an interview with Brila.net, Abdullah commended the home-based players selected for the recent friendly matches against Algeria, noting they left a strong impression with their performance.

“I don’t agree with the thought of people who say it’s just Algeria,”  said the former Super Falcons ciach.

“There no pushover nations. Normally, we just have to hail the Nigerian Football Federation for believing in the local home base and the coaches and also giving this kind of platform.”

Abdallah insists the girls they left a strong impression with their performance at the launch of Madugu’s homegrown call-up project.

“It’s a good one because nobody gave them a chance. This is an opportunity for the home base to be able to prove themselves.”

“It’s a good start, and we expect to see more of this by exposing the home base players, and we’ll surely get the best result.”

He stated that this gradual process will help in building the team’s success.

“It’s good to start gradually, grid by grid, and for sure we’ll be there. We’ll get the better result people are expecting. It’s just a matter of time for these girls to be together and be giving them more opportunity to expose them.”

“At this juncture, the team needs more of this opportunity.”
