Remo Stars continued their winning streak in the Nigeria Premier Football League with a 2-1 victory over defending champions Rangers Int’l in Ikenne, on Sunday.
The matchday four encounter in Ikenne on Sunday delivered the excitement fans anticipated, with both teams pressing forward from the start.
Despite the high tempo, the first half ended goalless, with neither side able to break the deadlock.
The game came alive early in the second half when Alex Oyowah opened the scoring for Remo Stars, finishing off a well-executed play with Franck Mawuema.
However, Rangers quickly responded, equalizing just four minutes later through Kenechukwu Agu’s penalty after goalkeeper Serge Obassa fouled a Rangers player.
Remo Stars reclaimed the lead in the 60th minute with a stunning strike from Tochukwu Michael, sealing their fourth straight win and maintaining their perfect record with 12 points at the top of the table.
