Montpellier striker, Akor Adams remains optimistic about his team’s prospects despite a disappointing start to the new French Ligue 1 season.
Montpellier currently sit at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table, with just one point from a possible 12.
The team has struggled to find form, with their only point coming from a 1-1 draw at home against Strasbourg in the season opener, leaving fans frustrated.
Adams speaking through the club’s official website, urged the supporters to stay positive.
“Every time we play, our only goal is to win and make our supporters happy.
“We are aware that, until now, we haven’t been able to deliver the results they expect, but I ask them to keep believing in us and the club’s vision,” Adams stated.
The Nigerian striker, who has netted once this season, is confident that Montpellier will bounce back.
“I’m convinced that together with the supporters, we can have a great season. We know they are behind us, and that gives us a lot of positive energy.”
Montpellier will look to turn things around in their next fixture, a crucial home game against fellow strugglers Auxerre. Both teams are in need of a win to boost their season.
