Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi could see his playing time reduced this season following the club’s decision to pursue another striker.
Awoniyi, who joined Forest in a £18 million deal from Union Berlin in 2022, has struggled with fitness issues despite showing moments of promise.
During his two seasons at the City Ground, He has missed several matches due to various injuries, leaving Chris Wood as the team’s only recognized striker.
To bolster their attacking options, Nottingham Forest is reportedly in negotiations to sign Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah.
According to tribuna.com, Nketiah has agreed to personal terms with Nottingham Forest, and Arsenal is expected to receive a transfer fee in the range of £30-35 million.
The addition of Nketiah would provide valuable competition for both Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi in the team’s forward line.
