The Nigerian Football MNT, Super Eagles, will commence preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on September 1.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and Amavubi of Rwanda in crucial qualifying matches.

Players are expected to arrive at the team’s camp starting from September 1 to begin training for the upcoming fixtures.

Nigeria will host West African neighbors, Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 7.

Following the home encounter, the team will travel to Kigali to take on Rwanda three days later on September 10.

The Super Eagles play away at the newly refurbished Amahoro Stadium, marking a significant event for both teams in their quest for AFCON qualification.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has yet to announce a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles ahead of these matches.

The Federation has been linked with several managers including Herve Renard and Olof Anderson recently.

Although it has yet to make an official announcement, the NFF is exploring options for a perfect candidate to guide the Super Eagles through the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and beyond.
