Nigerian women’s champions, Edo Queens continued their strong showing in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers with a commanding 3-0 victory over Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies in Bouake on Wednesday night.
The first half ended in a stalemate, with both teams unable to capitalize on several opportunities.
However, Edo Queens came alive in the second half, taking control of the match with two quick goals from Esther Moses and Emem Essien.
Captain Suliat Abideen sealed the victory with a third goal, solidifying the Benin City club’s dominance.
This win follows their emphatic 5-0 triumph over Niger’s AS Garde Nationale in their opening match.
Moses Adukwu’s side will now face Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle in their final group game on Saturday.
