Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba secured a split decision win over his Italian, Guido Vianello in a match held at the American Bank Center in Texas, on Sunday morning.
The judges’ scorecards revealed a tight contest, with two judges scoring it 96-94 in favor of Ajagba, while one judge scored it 94-96 in favor of Vianello.
Throughout the bout, the Nigeria dominated rounds, yet faced formidable resistance from Vianello in the closing stages.
With this victory, the 29 year-old extends his undefeated streak to five consecutive wins, enhancing his professional record to 20 wins, including 14 knockouts, and a solitary defeat.
Additionally, Efe Ajagba retains his WBC Silver Heavyweight Championship belt, further solidifying his standing in the heavyweight boxing class.
