The League Management Company have suspended Enugu Rangers General Manager Christian Chukwu from “all NPFL activities with immediate effect,” the body announced on Friday.
Chukwu’s suspension is in connection with the recent arrest of the club’s former coach Imama Amapakabo over a pay dispute.
Amapakabo, who won the League title with the Flying Antelopes last season, was arrested after he failed to return the official Car and House keys in his possession months after he was sacked.
But the former goalkeeper claimed that the car was held in lieu of entitlements owed him by the club according to completesports.
The LMC tweeted: “Rangers General Manager, Christian Chukwu has been suspended from all #NPFL activities with immediate effect
“The LMC had referred to the NFF Ethics Committee the matter of Chukwu’s conduct in the dispute resolution
“LMC said the referral is pursuant to the provisions of Rule C17.5 of the #NPFL Framework & Rules.”
