Emilio Nsue inspired Equatorial Guinea to their biggest win in the Africa Cup of Nations beating Guinea Bissau 4-1 to go top of Group A momentarily.
Nsue scored a hat-trick; the first of the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, as Nzalang Nacional pick up four points to remain unbeaten.
The game started slowly, before the half hour mark, Juan Micha’s side broke the deadlock through Nsue (21′), but were pegged back from an own goal sixteen minutes later.
After the resumption, Guinea Bissau thought they had won a penalty, but a review showed no offence was committed and the initial call was chalked off.
It proved to be the turning point of the game as Equatorial Guinea shot ahead as Jose Miranda finished off a route one pass from goalkeeper Jesus Ngua.
With the game in their grip, Nsue commandeered the progress, adding a brace to his tally on the hot afternoon in Ebimpe.
