Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman clinched victory for Atalanta in his last game before international duty.

Lookman got the only goal of the game as Atalanta beat Lecce 1-0 in Bergamo on Saturday.

The first half remained goalless, but the Nigerian electrified the pitch seven minutes into the second half, breaking the deadlock with a precise, low-drilled shot into the far bottom corner.

It was his seventh goal of the season, contributing to a total of ten goal involvements (seven goals and three assists) in eighteen league matches.

The 26-year-old, formerly of Leicester City, will now shift his focus to the Africa Cup of Nations campaign starting with a week camping exercise in Abu Dhabi.

Ademola Lookman is expected to join the national team for the Cup of Nations, with the official camp opening on January 2, 2024.
