Defender Semi Ajayi’s 67th minute equalizer rescued the Super Eagles from an embarrassing defeat at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo.

The Peseiro-led side went behind after Motlomelo Mkwanazi gave the 153rd FIFA ranked Crocodiles a shock lead ahead of the star studded Nigerian team.

Nigeria was the massive favourites against the lowly rated side until Motlomelo Mkhwanazi gave the visitors the lead before Semi Ajayi salvaged a draw for the Super Eagles with a late equaliser.

Nigeria will now make a trip to Rwanda to face Zimbabwe for their matchday two clash against the Warriors on Sunday.
