Left back Jamilu Collins asserts that the Super Eagles maintain a strong sense of unity, even amid fierce competition for positions within the squad.
Collins conveyed this sentiment to the media upon his arrival in Uyo for the FIFA World Cup qualification opener against Lesotho.
As one of Africa’s most talented teams, the Eagles boast a surplus of talent, with a minimum of three quality players vying for each position.
“So far, it has been good to be in the camp atmosphere, I’m excited to be here.” He told the media shortly after arriving Uyo ahead of the crackers with Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
“There’s no competition in the national team. We just have to come here and give our best for our nation and whoever is called to play should give his best.
“We are here to make our country proud.” He said.
Collins is returning to the squad after missing last international engagements against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique due to injury.
With Zaidu Sanusi missing, the former Padeborn star poised to start against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
