Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro insists the game against Sao Tome and Principe is very important for his side to win.

The Super Eagles are through to the African Cup of Nations, but need a point to finish on top of Group A.

The three time African Champions won the first meeting last November by 20 goals to nill, and are clear favorites for the Sunday’s tie.

Peseiro in a chat with the media, says the game is part of his side’s preparations for the tournament proper.

“The game (vs Sao Tome) is more than a dead rubber game for the team, it is part of our FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFCON preparation.

“We want to win the AFCON next year and all the games will be important to us.

Peseiro also declined questions related to the his new contract and the pay cut clause.
