The Nigeria Football Federation is currently in negotiations with Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, regarding a new contract.
Peseiro’s previous deal expired in July and both parties are now in talks to extend it.
Brila.net understands, The NFF suggested some new clause including a pay cut during the negotiation.
Peseiro is currently one of the highest paid national team coaches in Africa, with a reported take home of $60,000 monthly.
Meanwhile, negotiation is ongoing and final decision will be made based on the recommendations of the technical committee.
The Portuguese took the role in May 2022, and he’s likely to be in charge as the team prepares for upcoming match against Sao Tome and Principe in September.
