Ngozi Okobi has reacted to the decision of Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, to omit her from the 2023 World Cup party.

Waldrum on Friday named his 23 players for the tournament to be staged in Australia and New Zealand, Okobi is the biggest name to be left out of the team.

Recall, the Midfielder was initially left out of the CAF African Women’s Championship last year, before being recalled as a late replacement.

In a social media interaction with her followers, asked if she’s injured Okobi said, she’s not nursing any injury, stating that, she’s surprised to be left out of the party.

“No am not (injured), physically sound and healthy. I’m still surprised as you are,” She replied the fan.

Meanwhile the 23 invited players will start preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which gets underway on July 20 and runs till August 20, 2023.

Nigeria will face tournament co-hosts Australia, Canada and Ireland in group A.
