Premier League side West Ham United are not giving up hope of landing Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi this January.
According to Sky Sports News, the Hammers are have returned with an improved bid, after Lorient turned down a first offer offer last week.
The reports states that Ham United have offered £20m plus £5m in add-ons to FC Lorient, and they believe it should be enough to secure the services of Terem Moffi, who reportedly agreed terms with OGC Nice last week.
The 23-year-old forward is the second-highest goalscorer in Ligue 1 this season, behind only Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé and West Ham desperately need of striker.
West Ham United are 18th in the Premier League after a poor start to the league season and it’s unclear if the young Nigerian will be willing to join a struggling project.
The media last week suggested the 23-year-old is keen to continue his development in Ligue 1 and it’s the reason OGC Nice remain the favorites for his signature.
Moffi who was Lorient’s only scorer in a 3-1 defeat on Saturday has less than a year left on his contract with Lorient.
